L’Axe Majeur is an urban layout located 45 minutes to the West of Paris. It is the continuation of an axis which starts at the Louvre Pyramid in Paris and includes the Arc de Triomphe and the Arche de la Défense. Designed by Israeli artist, Dani Karavan, l'Axe Majeur is 3km in length and consists of 12 stations:
La Tour Belvédère (The Belveder Tower)
La Place Hubert Renaud (Hubert Renaud Plaza)
Le Verger des Impressionnistes (The Orchard of the Impressionists)
L’Esplanade de Paris (The Paris Esplanade)
La Terrasse (The Terrace)
Le Jardin des Droits de l’Homme (The Gardens of the Rights of Man)
L’Amphithéâtre (The Amphitheatre)
La Scène et Le Bassin (The Stage and the Pond)
La Passerelle (The Footbridge)
L’Isle Astronomique (The Astronomical Island)
La Pyramide (The Pyramid)
Le Carrefour de Ham (The Ham Intersection)
It is an interesting location with several different types of décor in close proximity. Of particular interest are La Place Hubert Renaud, the 12 Columns, the Amphitheatre, the stage and the Footbridge over the Oise river.
